We have all heard about the deadly consequences of texting and driving. Stories of accidents, injuries and deaths are in the headlines all the time. But, this caught our attention, a new study shows that texting and driving is now the number one killer of teens, surpassing drinking and driving and killing more than 3,000 teens annually.
The reality is kids aren’t drinking seven days per week — but they are carrying their phones and texting seven days per week, so you intuitively know this a more common occurrence,” Dr. Andrew Adesman, Chief Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Cohen Children’s Medical Center told Gusoff.
