Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Service of America, Inc. is proud to partner with Skilled Wound Care, a caring sponsor that is willing to explore new options to offer the best care possible.
We decided to Adopt A Highway because our group spends significant hours on our beautiful freeways, and we find it is our duty to keep these beautiful roads clean, free and safe of debris for all!” Dr. Bardia Anvar, Founder, CEO
Skilled Wound Care is a mobile national physicians group that consults long-term care facilities on the treatment of wounds. Skilled Wound Care’s mission is to transform the chronic wound care model in the nursing facility, to better patient’s lives, empower nurses, and raise public awareness. Chronic wounds, which result from pressure, diabetes, or vascular disease have become an epidemic in the United States. One of SWC’s primary goals is to give long-term care nurses the right education and support to stay up to date on the latest wound treatments. Dr. Bardia Anvar, a board-certified general surgeon, founded SWC in 2007. He saw an opportunity to build a practice around visiting facilities and teaching physicians, physician extenders and nurses specifically about wound care. Today, Skilled Wound Care has 40 physicians and physician’s assistants in California, Texas and Louisiana. Skilled Wound Care physicians partner with long-term facilities and work with the medical staff on what dressings to use, how to monitor the sores and other practices. SWC’s nurses and nursing home partners are positively transforming traditional nursing home wound care.
We are so pleased to call Skilled Wound Care an Adopt-A-Highway sponsor!
