Beautify Virginia Program
Virginia boasts well-maintained major highways and thousands of miles of scenic byways. Always, it will be our goal to keep these roads litter free with the Beautify Virginia Program.
Beautify Virginia is a sponsored litter removal program for all the Interstates in Virginia. Sponsorship offsets the cost of litter removal for Virginia Department of Transportation. We are an approved service provider, partnering with VDOT to keep the state clean and safe.
The Virginia Interstate systems covers 1,118 miles of roadway. We believe that every sponsorship makes a difference. All segments available for sponsorship are approximately 1-mile in length. These segments will be cleaned twice per month. For each segment sponsored, one litter removal recognition sign with a sponsor panel will be placed on the shoulder of the Interstate, facing traffic. Sponsor panel are all full-color and can include a sponsor’s logo or legal company name. In addition, sign materials are highly reflective making them visible day and night. We provide design support, to maximize the impact of your sponsor signage. We will ensure placement for high visibility and greatest marketing exposure.
The NEW PROGRAM, BEAUTIFY VIRGINIA launches in June/July 2020. You can be the 1st in your community to get a sign on the Interstate!
Signs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eastern Shore Virginia
A separate Sponsor-A-Road program is also available on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Sponsor-A-Road is a partnership between AAHLRSA, Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission and WasteWatchers of the Eastern Shore, to keep this beautiful stretch of beach community clean and environmentally safe. Sponsored segments are 1-mile in length. Prime sign locations are available throughout the area, including on US 13 and 175.
