to End Littering and Beautify America
Keep America Beautiful (KAB) is a community improvement nonprofit organization that inspires and educates people to act every day to improve and beautify their neighborhood. Keep America Beautiful strives to End Littering, Improve Recycling and Beautify America’s Communities. KAB believes everyone has a right to live in a clean, green, and beautiful community, and shares a responsibility to contribute to that vision.
Behavior change – steeped in education, research, and behavioral science – is the cornerstone of Keep America Beautiful. They empower generations of community and environmental stewards with volunteer programs, hands-on experiences, educational curricula, practical advice, and other resources. The organization is driven by the work and passion of more than 600 Keep America Beautiful affiliates, millions of volunteers, and the collaborative support of corporate partners, social and civic service organizations, academia, municipalities, elected officials, and individuals.
With a mutual vision of keeping America litter free, AAHLRSA has supported KAB with a free sponsorship in New York since 2018. We have also made donations on occasion as an added incentive for sponsorship. We were thrilled with the response from like-minded corporations that decided to make an impact through these promotions. AAHLRSA looks forward to working with KAB to educate and eliminate litter on our roadways and beyond!
Partnership Promoting Responsibility to the Environment
AAHLRSA has formed a long-term partnership with The Canopy Project lead by Earth Day Network. The Canopy Project plants trees to help communities sustain themselves and their local economies. Trees reverse the effects of soil erosion, filter the air and help diminish the impact of global climate change. Since 2010, EARTHDAY.ORG™ has planted tens of millions of trees with The Canopy Project, working to strengthen communities.
The Canopy Project is completely supported by sponsors and individual donations. AAHLRSA is proud to be a sponsor for this environmentally friendly program. Donations directly cover the purchase of materials, time spent growing in nurseries, long-term maintenance, as well as the operating costs that allow us to carry out and expand our program.
AAHLRSA has been a donating partner to The Canopy Project since 2013.
