North Carolina
Statewide Sponsor-A-Highway Program
With an exceptional quality of life, a business-friendly environment and its central location on the eastern seaboard, North Carolina continues to attract new businesses and residents alike. In fact, North Carolina consistently ranks at the top among places to work, live and play. It is also one of the fastest growing states in the US.
North Carolina has the 2nd largest state-maintained highway system with nearly 15,000 miles of primary highways (Interstates, US and NC Routes) and almost 65,000 miles of secondary roads. The cost for NCDOT to keep these roads litter-free tops $16 million annually. To help offset these costs the NCDOT and AAHLRSA are offering 1-mile segments for sponsorship through the Sponsor-A-Highway Program. For your sponsorship, you receive an acknowledgement sign along one of NC’s most traveled roadways. Locations are currently available on the following: I-26, I-40, I-73, I-74, I-77, I-85, I-95, I-140, I-240, I-277, I-440, I-485, I-540, I-785 and I-795. Other roadways are also available, contact us with your preferred location.
About the Signs
We provide design support, to maximize the impact of your sponsor signage. We will ensure placement for high visibility and exposure.
Each sign will be placed on the shoulder of the highway, facing traffic.
Highway segments are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are proud to be the largest sponsor in the U.S. We went “all in” to make it clear that as a locally owned business, we care about the environment in which we all live, work & play. By sponsoring miles of highway roadside cleanup, we are alleviating taxpayer burden, allowing the North Carolina Department of Transportation to allocate those funds to other initiatives. The advertising impact of doing this on such a large scale is remarkable. We are regularly asked about our participation & have had numerous customers as a result.
