Skilled Wound Care is a mobile national physicians group that consults long-term care facilities on the treatment of wounds. Skilled Wound Care’s mission is to transform the chronic wound care model in the nursing facility, to better patient’s lives, empower nurses, and raise public awareness. Chronic wounds, which result from pressure, diabetes, or vascular disease have become an epidemic in the United States. One of SWC’s primary goals is to give long-term care nurses the right education and support to stay up to date on the latest wound treatments. The upkeep of roadways is extremely important and expensive. Roads and highways get us from A to B, whether that means going to work, visiting grandma or taking a family vacation. Gasoline and other taxes pay to construct, maintain and modify everything from local streets to the freeways and highways we use every single day.
As cars become more fuel efficient, less gas tax is being collected for much needed road maintenance. Add to that the rise in popularity of electric and other non-gas cars, which pay zero gas tax. In addition our infrastructure is getting older and need more funds just to keep it safe. Due to these trends, states are looking at alternative methods to pay for road upkeep.
One option being tested is to charge motorists for the miles they drive versus the gas they purchase. This idea is entering testing stages in multiple states, but has major obstacles to be addressed before it can realistically move forward.

The Super Bowl got its name because one of the conditions of the merger between the NFL and the AFL in 1966 was that the winner of each league’s championship game would meet in one game to determine the “world champion of football”. Fiction: Red cars cost more to insure.
FACT: Red, purple, blue, black – color is NOT a factor used to calculate car insurance rates. Things used to calculate insurance rates include the year, make, model, body type, engine size and age of your car, as well as driving record of those being insured.
Fiction: My car insurance rates should be similar to my neighbor’s, sister’s, aunt’s or uncle’s rates.
FACT: Car insurance rates are determined individually based on age, driving record and type of vehicle. Each person’s situation is different, so insurance rates will definitely vary.
Fiction: “No-fault insurance means it’s not my fault!”
FACT: No-fault insurance typically (state rules vary) requires your auto insurance company to pay medical expenses & lost wages for injuries due to a car accident, regardless of who is at fault. If you caused the accident, you are not off the hook. The insurance companies will decide who is to blame, and that driver would be liable for repairs and damages.
Fiction: Small cars are the cheapest to insure.
FACT: Small cars do not have the cheapest rates because they are often chosen by younger, inexperienced drivers who submit more claims. Also, injury claims are higher from small cars, which lack the weight and protection offered by larger vehicles. Small and mid-size SUVs and minivans are the cheapest to insure.
